Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour level depressant pumps which might be 18m in length and the other 4 are methanol raise pumps that are 10m lengthy.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors that have been designed and constructed alongside the length of the pumps to monitor the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m lengthy pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank throughout installation guaranteeing that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, reducing vibration and put on during operation.
Once assembled, the pumps have been independently witness examined and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps had been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore the place the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being built.
The pump delivery and installation needed to align with the FPSO construct schedule. Because of the size of the pumps, they had to be installed into the vessel’s tanks via the deck before one other deck above the pumps could be constructed. pressure gauge 10 bar was completed successfully over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning team supporting the client with the installation and commissioning.
The FPSO might be positioned in the KG-DWN 98/2 area, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. The vessel is designed to supply as a lot as ninety 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be geared up to handle the monsoon conditions prevalent on the area.
