KSB has introduced the completion of its US$44 million multiphase growth of the GIW facility in Grovetown, Georgia, USA.

The first two phases of the expansion have been permitted in 2013 in response to rising market demand for larger gear. Since then, the Grovetown facility has accomplished upgrades, added tens of 1000’s of sq. toes to its foundry, elevated furnace capability, accomplished construction on a distribution centre, and won approval for three extra phases of enchancment.
With pressure gauge octa of the challenge, KSB has quadrupled its capability to mould castings over 20,000 lbs (9000 kg), elevated its most pouring output by as much as sixty six,000 lbs (30,000 kg), decreased the number of required shot blast runs by 50%, added special cleansing stations for giant castings, carried out new technology and effectivity options, and doubled worker locker room services.
KSB went forward with the project’s completion, regardless of the Covid-19 pandemic and its economic fallout.

In 2020, the KSB Group launched KSB Mining, a new market-driven group offering expertise on centrifugal pumps to mining operations.
The expanded services in Grovetown serve as the headquarters of GIW Slurry Pumps.
GIW at present employs over 600 folks at its Grovetown facility.
