Two of the six API 610 VS4 pumps are pour point depressant pumps that are 18m in length and the other four are methanol carry pumps which are 10m long.
All of the pumps have PT100 temperature sensors which have been designed and constructed alongside the size of the pumps to monitor the temperature of every bearing individually.
The 18m lengthy pumps incorporate a supporting system of brackets that Amarinth has designed which attaches every pump to its tank during installation ensuring that because the pump is lowered into the tank it stays perfectly aligned, lowering vibration and wear throughout operation.
Once assembled, the pumps were independently witness examined and authorized by DNV at Amarinth’s facility in Rendlesham, UK. The pumps have been then disassembled into 3m segments and shipped to Singapore where the FPSO (floating manufacturing storage and offloading unit) is being built.
The pump delivery and set up had to align with the FPSO build schedule. Because of the length of the pumps, they had to be put in into the vessel’s tanks through the deck earlier than one other deck above the pumps could probably be built. The first part was accomplished efficiently over the Christmas period with Amarinth’s Engineering Commissioning group supporting the shopper with the set up and commissioning.
The FPSO will be positioned within the KG-DWN 98/2 field, approximately 22 km off the east coast of Kakinada, India. pressure gauge น้ำ is designed to provide up to 90 000 barrels of oil per day (BOPD) and have a 1.3-million-barrel storage facility. It shall be outfitted to handle the monsoon conditions prevalent on the subject.
